Alpha is a worldwide phenomenon. It’s found in over 160 countries. It’s run in tens of thousands of schools, prisons, homes and churches of all denominations. It’s given more than 20 million people the opportunity to explore the meaning of life. Hundreds of adults have participated in Alpha at Beacon and each one can tell you how impactful the course is.

Beacon runs the Alpha Course a few times a year. The course explores life in general and covers the basics of Christianity. It answers questions like: "Who is Jesus?", "Why & how do we read the Bible?" and "Why did Jesus have to die?" The Alpha Course at Beacon includes 8 weekly sessions along with a single Saturday seminar toward the end. At each of the weeknight sessions, guests gather for two hours. They share an informal meal, watch a video about how Christianity approaches the question at hand, then gather into small groups for discussion and reflection. The real beauty of Alpha is that you get to discuss these weighty topics in a judgment-free environment where there is zero pressure to agree. You just get to be you.

The Alpha Course meets on different nights depending on the season. Click here for details about upcoming courses or to register for an Alpha Course.

No matter where you are in your faith journey, the Alpha Course is the perfect next step for you!
